3. Quality Control and final sign-off

Quality control is scheduled time as part of the final turn of changes. It’s the final opportunity to make design tweaks that align to the agreed concept as well as any accuracy and consistency enhancements before the final sign-off.

Lead Designer reviews the document and makes aesthetic refinements and/or directs Artwork on any changes to be made.

Artwork runs through their ‘Quality Control Checklist.’ If the document is digital-first, this is the last opportunity for changes before going live – all hyperlinks must be activated, navigation must be tested, page-flipper requirements completed, animation and video triggers tested, etc.

Final document is sent out for final client sign-off.

Once approved by the client a final PDF version of the document is created to meet pre-print milestone (e.g. NZX announcement, online publishing etc.).
