Expression
Developing and Conceptualising the elements that express the positioning.
1. Photography (if required)
If required, the Lead Designer decides which phot0grapher to use and briefs the AD to seek out costs, timing, and availability.
–
The Lead Designer creates a photography brief. This is reviewed by the AD and Strategist, and feedback is provided.
In developing the brief, consideration should be given to how imagery works online and various responsive formats.
–
The client reviews and signs off the photography brief.
–
The Lead Designer briefs the chosen photographer.
–
The AD organises the photoshoot including any location, talent, transport, and health & safety requirements.
–
The AD produces a runsheet outlining all the details for the shoot including addresses, timing, shot list and contact numbers.
–
The Lead Designer, or whomever they delegate, attends the shoot to provide art direction. If the client is also attending the shoot, then the AD should also ideally attend.
–
The photographer provides all shots from the shoot to the AD, and they are placed on the server by the Artwork team. Contact sheets are then created and shared with the AD, Design and Artwork teams (and client, if requested).
