Strategy
Defining the overall approach/theme driven by audience’s insights.
1. Content Plan
This phase commences on receipt of the content matrix. Content planning and development works in parallel to the Solution Design, Detailed Design and Development stages.
–
The Client Strategist develops a full content outline, detailing specific content requirements to deliver on the strategy. This specifically covers:
Photography requirement
Icon or graphic requirements
Video or audio requirements
Copy requirements.
High-value content – diagrams, graphs, charts, infographics, etc.
Content merger /uploading requirements.
Etc.
–
For copy requirement, the outline incorporates details of
copy style, tone, lengths, approaches, use of bullets, tables, etc.
Key words to be incorporated in the copy.
–
The content outline is reviewed by the AD and the Lead Designer, for additional input and confirmation of available time and budget. It’s also reviewed by the DP:
To ensure there are no requirements that are outside what is being built for the website; and
Provide any specific size, resolution, responsiveness, or functionality requirements.
–
The Client Strategist updates the Content Outline with the feedback.
–
The AD develops a content project plan and provides it, along with the Content Outline to the client for review and sign-off.
